TCAS
Simplified TCAS II logic on a heading-up traffic display. Random scenarios.
Symbols: hollow diamond = other traffic, solid diamond = proximate, amber circle = traffic advisory (TA), red square = resolution advisory (RA). Numbers are relative altitude in hundreds of feet (+ above, − below). TA and RA thresholds use tau (seconds to closest approach) and the sensitivity level for your altitude. On an RA, follow it promptly, or tick auto-comply. Simplified and not for operational use. Keys: ←/→ heading · Space pause.
